Before Fame

As a child, he was a star pupil and performer at the China Drama Academy. He began his film career as a stunt performer; in the early 1970s, he doubled for Bruce Lee in the martial arts film Enter the Dragon.

He and his seven siblings grew up in Hong Kong. His marriage to Didi Pang resulted in a son named Ming-Tsak and a daughter named Yi-Bui.
