His passion for hosting radio soon sparked his love for stand-up; he soon began formal training in acting while continuing to practice his comic craft on stage at various comedy clubs. Vought went on to serve as head writer for Wayne Brady during his time hosting the "The Late Late Show" prior to James Corden in 2014 on CBS, and later moving on to tour the country together performing stand-up.

Vought also collaborates consistently with renowned Actor and Comedian Paul Reiser, including opening for his standup and shopping a television pilot they wrote together with Julie Bergman.When not on set or on stage, Vought loves to spend time with his son and travel, ski, go to the movies, and grab coffee with his friends and other comics.

To unwind, Vought loves to practice transcendental meditation twice a day.
