Vladimir Kashpur was a Russian actor of Moscow Art Theatre (MKhAT).He was born Vladimir Terentevich Kashpur on October 26, 1926, in Severka village, Altai province, Soviet Union (now Russia). During the WWII he served as a pilot-navigator in the Red Army, then from 1946 - 1949 he was an officer of military air traffic control.
During his Red Army service, Kashpur was also involved in amateur acting. From 1951 - 1955 he was an actor of Lunacharsky Drama Theatre in Vladimir, Russia. From 1956 - 1959 he studied acting together with such classmates as Anatoliy Romashin, Albert Filozov, Aleksandr Lazarev and Evgeniy Lazarev among others, under Viktor Stanitsyn at Moscow Art Theatre School of Acting, graduating in 1959 as an actor.
From 1959 - 1961 he was member of the troupe at Sovremennik Theatre in Moscow. There his stage partners were such actor as Oleg Efremov, Evgeniy Evstigneev, Galina Volchek, Stanislav Lyubshin, Andrey Myagkov, Viktor Sergachyov, Alla Pokrovskaya, Oleg Tabakov, Oleg Dal, Igor Kvasha, Valentin Gaft and other notable Russian actors.
Since 1961 Vladimir Kashpur has been a permanent member of the troupe at Moscow Art Theatre (MKhAT). He is survived by his son, Aleksei Kaspur, and his wife Lyudmila Kashpur, a Medical Doctor.
