Viktor Sergachev is a Russian actor of Moscow Art Theatre (MKhAT).He was born Viktor Nikolaevich Sergachev on November 24, 1934, in Borzya, Chita province, Siberian Russia, Soviet Union (now Russia). His parents were working class Russians.
Young Sergachev was fond of theatre, he was active in amateur drama club at his school. From 1953 - 1956 he studied acting under Pavel Massalsky at Moscow Art Theatre School of Acting, graduating in 1956 as an actor.
In 1962 he made his big screen debut in films Uvolnenie na bereg (1962) and 'Konets sveta'.In 1956 Sergachev joined Oleg Efremov as a founding member of Sovremennik theatre company. From 1957 - 1971 Viktor Sergachev was a permanent member of the troupe at Sovremennik Theatre in Moscow.
