Trip Hope has performed in over 50 plays and 20 independent films. His most recent stage performance was in the world premier of "Internet Dating the Musical" in Hollywood, from "30 Rock" Emmy Award winning writer Ron Weiner.

He is an alumni of the prestigious Actors Theatre of Louisville, sponsor of The Humana Festival of New American Plays, where he was seen in the original productions of "Intervention" and "What Are You Afraid Of?".

He's also an alumni of Play House West, where he performed in such productions as "Burn This", "Hamlet", and "Angels We Have Heard On High". One of his favorite film performances was in "Good Time Max", starring/directed/co-written by James Franco, an official selection at Tribeca Film Festival (2007) and currently available on DVD.

Trip has performed in many award winning movies including: "Em", a dramatic feature, winner of the 'New American Cinema Grand Jury Prize' at the Seattle International Film Festival (2008), "11 Minutes Ago", a Sci-Fi time-travel feature, winner of 'Best Sci-Fi Feature' and 'Best Screenplay' at the Phoenix International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival, 'Best Sci-Fi Feature' at World Fest Houston, and 'Chairman's Best of Festival' at the FAIF International Film Fest (2007), "Extras", winner of 'Best Comedy Short" at the Hollywood MiniDV Festival (2005), "Devils Are Dreaming", a dark comedy feature, winner of 'Best Feature Film' at Dances With Films (2004), "Martha's Bakery", winner of 'Best Drama Short' at World Fest Houston (2003).

Trip has been a teacher of dramatic arts in North Carolina and Texas. His most ambitious teaching project was writing and directing a children's adaptation of "The Magic Flute" performed by over 700 children with Opera Carolina.

He is an active member of SAG and AEA. He has been an active member of the International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People, The American Association of Design and Production Professionals in the Performing Arts, The South Eastern Theatre Conference, and Alpha Psi Omega.

He has been an actor and teacher with North Carolina Theatre for Young People. He's performed at Paramount's Theme Parks in the Wild West Comedy Show. He has studied comedy improvisation with Paul Sills, founder of The Second City Chicago.

He studied Meisner Technique at Play House West for six years with Robert Carnegie, Mark Pellegrino, Tracey Aziz, Tony Savant, Chris Liebe, Sean Barnes, and Andrea Helene. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and Directing and a Masters of Education in Theatre Arts from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
