Tim Gray is a national award-winning documentary film director, producer and writer based in Rhode Island. Tim has produced and directed 24 documentary films to date on the personal stories of the World War II generation.

All of Tim's films air nationally on American Public Television and also globally in such countries as China, Australia, France and England.Tim's films have won 5 New England/Boston Emmy Awards for writing and documentary film work.

Tim's film travels have taken him to: Guadalcanal, Corregidor, Bataan, Manila, the Philippines, the Solomon Islands, the Russell Islands, Banika, Pearl Harbor, Normandy, France (eleven times), Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg (twice), Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany (twice).

In 2012, Tim Gray's World War II Foundation also dedicated the Richard D. Winters Leadership Monument in Normandy, France, a project honoring American leadership on D-Day and approved by the late Major Richard D.

Winters of WWII's Band of Brothers.The World War II Foundation oversaw all the fundraising for the 13 foot-high statue and organized the dedication event in France, attended by over 1,000 people, including the current commanding general of the 101st Airborne Division and former Secretary of Homeland Security, Gov.

Tom Ridge.Tim has held many fundraisers with the actors from the Band of Brothers television series to benefit the work of the WWII Foundation, both in the United States and in 2014, in Normandy, France.

Prior to his documentary film work, Tim worked as a television sports and news anchor and reporter for over 15 years in several states and U.S. markets including: Michigan, Washington State, Florida (Fort Myers and Orlando) New York and Providence, Rhode Island.

In 2000, Tim was appointed weekend sports anchor and sports/news reporter at Ch. 10 in Providence, another NBC affiliate. He held that job until 2004.While in Ft. Myers, FL Tim was designated sportscaster-of the-year by the Florida Sportscaster's Association as well as top feature reporter.

Tim is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Journalism.Through various initiatives, Tim Gray and his project work have appeared in and been featured on: The Today Show; MSNBC, Fox News, Discovery Channel's Orange County Choppers, CNN, C-Span, PBS stations around the country and the United States Armed Forces Radio Network and in newspapers such as USA Today, the Boston Globe and many others.
