Some Steve Czarnecki images
Entertaining the masses has been something that has always come naturally to Steve Czarnecki. As early as kindergarten when he was cast as one of the Seven Dwarves for his Elementary School production of "Snow White".
When asked which Dwarf he wanted to be, Steve insisted "I want to be Happy". Since then Steve has been making the effort to always make others happy thru entertainment. After taking a TV production class in middle school and landing a spot on the school's Morning TV Announcements as the weatherman, Steve decided that his once life-long goals to be an actor, astronaut or freehand graphic artist were quickly being over-powered by the magic of television.
He even gave up an art scholarship to continue his active role in this fresh new playground. "Steve's Wacky Weather Corner" was a hit with teachers and students and earned him respect, notoriety and an opportunity to take a normally un-offered TV production class to sophomores at his new High School.
He quickly became involved with the school's "Video Yearbook" and by his junior year was an active member of the Video Yearbook's staff and by his Senior Year, the General Manager. After graduating in 1990.
Steve took a few days off after his High School graduation, then dove straight into a TV Production Tech School. As the years went by he attended 4 other schools learning and perfecting his skills in Theater, Radio, TV and Film.
In 1992 Steve began an internship at a local radio Morning Show which quickly turned into a 6 year full-time employed position that evolved him into "Video Steve", the show's wacky producer and on-air personality, entertaining thousands on their drive to work each morning.
In between working at the station at the crack of dawn, he also attended Film school in the afternoon and juggled another part time job at Blockbuster Video at night. In early 1998 he had just won 3rd place in the Palm Beach International Film Festival for a short film he had done when he was offered a position as an Associate Producer for a new local kids TV show in South Florida, called "Wami on Miami".
One of Steve's 1st responsibilities in this new TV Producing job was to find some local teen talent to host this Live and Interactive kids show. Steve immediately brought on-board his younger brother Rob, who was now following in his older brothers footsteps and hosting his own Morning announcement show at Steve's old school, called "Wacky Wednesday".
While on Wami, Steve gave artists like Britney Spears, Nsync and Back Street Boys some of their 1st local Miami television appearances when he used his old Radio contacts to get the then, new artists, on the show.
In late 1999 "Wami on Miami" was canceled, but all of Steve's work with family and kids over the years was about to pay off. For his experience hosting, creating and aiding in the promotions of various events in radio and with TV/Movie sponsored Movie Premieres, landed him a referral from the local Miami Disney rep for a job at Radio Disney.
The kid's radio station was just launching in South Florida and they needed a well-known, local, wacky, kids thinking and acting personality. Steve couldn't have been a better candidate. From hosting weekend Radio Disney events, orchestrating Pop Band concerts and conducting celebrity interviews, once again Steve shined bright on and off the air in South Florida.
While on vacation in California visiting his younger brother Rob in 2000, Steve ran into his old "Wami on Miami" Executive Producer who offered him a job in California to Produce a TV show for Disney/ABC with him.
Not passing up a chance to entertain kids and have a conduit for his creativity, Steve jumped at the opportunity and never looked back. Steve's 1st taste of how Hollywood works happened soon after he relocated, when the show was suddenly canceled while in pre-production.
Out of work and unfamiliar to Hollywood, Steve's optimism and perseverance never stopped him from giving up. Soon he landed one job, which then turned into another and another. He has worked on a variety of television shows ever since for FOX, Warner Brothers, ABC Family, CBS, NBC, MTV, LTN, GSN, G4TV, VH1 and Discovery Channel Kids, just to name a few.
Over the years Steve has become quite a hard working, well known and respected Producer within the ranks of the television industry. At times he's even found himself back in front of the camera to host segments for Entertainment news programs and conduct celebrity interviews on the red carpets of television award shows and the world premieres of Hollywood's biggest films.
Clearly Steve's quick wit, professionalism, outgoing personality and determination definitely shine through in all he does at any level in which he's doing it.In the Fall of 2008, Steve hung up his Producer's hat to seize an opportunity of returning full-time to the Walt Disney Company and working back in the field he loves the most; Motion Pictures Marketing.
His creativity, imagination and past experiences in Marketing and Promotions for Disney landed him in the Creative Print Services division, the department that creates all the in-theater and outdoor marketing campaigns for the Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures LIVE action and Animated features.
Steve is having a blast dreaming up new designs for movie posters, standees and innovative marketing strategies for the various film properties.Though quite content, his thirst for production still keeps him hungry enough to continue consulting outside studios and networks with content and marketing ideas, as well as doing occasional red-carpet reports and on-set interviews for various on-line Entertainment news websites.
