Sophie Thurling is an Australian actor born in Melbourne. Her passion for acting began after completing the Young Bards Program with the Australian Shakespeare company in 2010, where she performed A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Athenaeum Theatre as one of the fairies.

After this eye opening experience, Sophie went on to do many acting courses and masterclasses, including those with NIDA and VCA. In 2013 she got accepted into the Actors Intensive Program with the Australian Institute of Performing Arts, travelling to LA and enduring 3 weeks of intense training with industry professionals.

In her 8 years, Sophie has appeared in a variety of productions, her recent achievement being for her role as Bree Nachor in the short film "We Need To Talk", where she won 2 awards of recognition as best actress in a leading role.
