Sam Miro is an award-winning filmmaker based in the Midwest. During his undergrad + grad studies at Indiana University, he produced a feature documentary on homelessness that screened with President Obama's staff from the Department of Justice + HUD.

In 2017, his undergrad capstone, Little Warriors, screened on PBS and played in festivals across the country whilst winning the Indiana Spotlight Film Award from the Academy-Award qualifying, Heartland Film Festival.

In 2018, Sam edited + produced the doc-short, Destination Park. The film premiered at Robert De Niro's, Tribeca Film Festival in New York and made its online premiere via The Atlantic.In 2020, his second doc-short, Sonnie, in partnership with Microsoft, premiered at the Chattanooga Film Festival.

The film is set to hit the circuit for the remainder of the year and 2021.Sam is currently shooting his debut feature documentary, Greener Pastures. The film has been supported by David & Linda Cornfield, the Catapult Film Fund, Doc Society, + Exposure Labs.
