For her role in Chak De! India, Ghatge received the Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress alongside all the Chak De! Girls. She was also rewarded with a Lions Gold Award.
In 2007, Ghatge portrayed Preeti Sabarwal, a fictional member of the Indian women's national hockey team, in the film Chak De! India, whereupon she became the brand ambassador of Reebok India. She has appeared in fashion magazines and various fashion shows. Ghatge appeared in the 2009 film, Fox as Urvashi Mathur. She later portrayed Kamiah in Miley Naa Miley Hum. Ghatge's first lead role is opposite Emraan Hashmi in the movie Rush, which released on 24 October 2012. Ghatge has appeared in Satish Rajwade's Marathi movie Premachi Goshta with Actor Atul Kulkarni which was released in February 2013. Premachi Goshta was her first Marathi movie. In 2015, She learned Punjabi for her debut Punjabi film, Dildariyaan.
On 24 April 2017, Ghatge announced her engagement to cricketer Zaheer Khan. The couple got married in November 2017.
