During this period, Rod also appeared in several theater productions at the Pasadena Playhouse, Figueroa Playhouse and the Coronet Theater.In 1968, Rod began a career with United Airlines. He was transferred to Cleveland, Ohio in 1977.
While in Cleveland, he went under contract with "David and Lee" Modeling Agency. Between 1977 and 2004 Rod was cast in 8 local and regional commercials and had 348 print jobs, which included the cover for the Cleveland Yellow Pages and several Industrial Magazines.
Rod also performed one of the lead roles(David Soames)in the play "If It's Monday, It Must Be Murder", a production at the Clague Play- house.Rod has retired from his Airline career and is looking forward to getting back into an acting career.
He was chosen by Cameron Crowe to play the part of "Raymond" in Cameron Crowe's new film "Elizabethtown" and was brought to Los Angeles for 3 1/2 weeks of filming. The film is scheduled to be released on October 14, 2005.
