Rob Alicea is a multi-award-winning producer, writer, director, and actor. Upon graduating from Hunter College, followed by training at the William Esper Studio, Rob began working in film and television as a production assistant, all the while developing his own projects as an independent film producer.
He would take the skills he honed on-set and eventually transition to branded content production, where he would spend the next 5+ years developing projects for brands such as Papa John's, BFGoodrich, Lycra, Marcus by Goldman Sachs, NFL, Lenovo and more.
In 2016, Rob left advertising to start Leaving Normal Productions with his partner, Scarlett Camargo. His first indie episodic project Adulthood premiered at HBO's New York Latino Film Festival in 2017 to critical acclaim.
It was also in 2017 that Rob co-created the unscripted show Border Wives, which Leaving Normal signed on to co-produce with Bobby Flay's Rock Shrimp Productions.
