Richard has been working in independent films for almost ten years now learning every aspect of filmmaking. Graduating from the prominent film school, Columbia College Chicago, in 1996, he went on to write, produce, edit, and direct the action thriller Drop Off (1997).
His drive and passion caught the attention of cult actor Reggie Bannister, known worldwide as the lead in the popular Phantasm films, who instantly signed on. Richard has also produced several short films which have been screened to good response at many of Chicago's film festivals and was Technical Director for two years at the successful monthly film festival Chicago Community Cinema.
Having worked as a professional editor for several years, he recently completed a project for the Smithsonian Institute which is part of their Triceratops exhibit in Washington DC and is seen daily by hundreds of people.
Aside from writing, directing, and producing several short films, Richard has also written several full-length screenplays in a variety of different genres. Presently he is Vice-President of Walking Shadows Productions, Inc.
, is producing the feature film, 'William Shakespeare's Macbeth', which he also co-adapted, and has been President of his own production company, Widescreen Films Productions, since 1996.
