Former professional boxer and trainer who is best known having won the NBA World Bantamweight Championship in 1955. He competed in a range of National Boxing Association fights throughout the US and Mexico. He is also known for having trained several other professional boxers in Mexico City.
Before Fame
He first began his amateur fighting career at the age of fourteen. In January of 1953, he debuted as a professional boxer. He defeated Leo Espinoza in March of 1956 which earned him the NBA world Bantamweight title. He retired from boxing in 1959 and began training other professional boxers.

He is also known for having won the bronze medal at the 1951 Pan American Games.
