Fortunate enough to have never accepted a job outside of his field since graduating college, that Loyola University of Chicago renaissance man training helped PhilE build a diverse arts career including: multiple university theatre professorships throughout America such as chairing the Fisk University Speech & Drama Department; several arts administration positions such as the first ever California Arts Council Arts Touring Coordinator; creator/leader of more than ten (10) youth summer arts camps including SummerCampCalifornia; plus full time stints with several theatre companies such as collective membership in the TONY Award winning San Francisco Mime Troupe.
With more than 400 live theatrical productions under his belt, Phillip has also directed many plays. Blessed with having had the best parents in the world, Walker was taught to be a "professional traveler".
Among the fruits of that upbringing was his becoming founding Artistic Director of the African American Drama Company. A touring Black History theatre started in 1977, AADC has performed internationally and at least twice in every United State.
Mr. Walker's only son, Solar City VP Travis Donnell Walker, has given birth to a daughter, Aliah Janae Walker.
