Pete Mills Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and extreme performer. Pete is the diviner of Millenarian music, performing with his low-strung, gold-top Les Paul and raspy voice as if his life depends on it.
From playing clubs to festival crowds Pete executes hook-laden melodies infused with an ecstatically passionate performance. Influenced by Abba, Bowie, Stones, 80's new wave, 90's electronic and modern music production (Dr.
Luke & Max Martin) Pete weaves a sublime for of sophistication by amalgamating these diverse genres. Pete began playing in Flash Bastard (Stones/Kiss) then Dirty Blonde (Killers/Cure). Notoriously Flash Bastard was kicked off a Motley Crue tour as well as signed multiple record deals with BMG, Long Shot/Cargo/Metropolis over the years.
Within a month of forming Dirty Blonde Pete wrote, recorded and performed a 5 song EP and signed a record deal to Sound-Virus. After the passing of Dirty Blonde's lead singer, Pete became a Hollywood refugee performing all around southern California with the group SoulKid1 (DreamWorks) as well as solo.
Pete mentored under producers Dave Ogilvie (Marilyn Manson/Skinny Puppy), and Robert Margouleff (Devo/Stevie Wonder). Co-producing Soulkid1's hit "We Got More Bounce In California" procured him work for prestigious L.
A. based label Cleopatra Records. His studio, the L.A. Audio Lab, has recorded clients including Sheryl Crow, Tiffany, Thelma Houston, The Dickies, Teddy Riley, Billy Sheehan, Bobby Brown, Thea Austin, Dominque Karan, Maxine Nightingale, Robben Ford, Carmine Appice, Dan Bolten, Terry Reid, Melissa Manchester, and Michael Pinera.
Recently Pete has recorded 13 K-Pop tribute albums in the last year and composes for TV and film. His first solo single "Alive" from his forthcoming album is available on iTunes. This song is an anthem to divine what the world needs more of: love.
