Neeraj Kabi

Neeraj Kabi was born on March 12, 1968, is Actor, Music Department. Neeraj Kabi is an Indian film and theatre actor and theatre director known for his works in International films and Hindi cinema, Theatre, and Television. He is also the founder and artistic director of Pravah Theatre Laboratory which is involved in theatre performance, training and research. Neeraj began his film acting career in 1997 where he appeared in the National Award winning film "The Last Vision" produced by NFDC-India. In 2013, Neeraj played the role of Maitreya in the internationally acclaimed film Ship of Theseus, Neeraj's performance was widely applauded and fetched him several nominations and awards including the Best Actor award at the International competition section of the 4th Sakhalin International Film Festival in Russia. This was followed by his critically acclaimed performance as the lead villain in Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!(2015) directed by Dibakar Banerjee. He then played one of the pivotal roles in Meghna Gulzar's Talvar (2015) which was written and produced by Vishal Bhardwaj. Neeraj was nominated as an actor for several film awards. Kabi has also enacted the role of Mahatma Gandhi in Shyam Benegal's 2014 Television series Samvidhaan: The Making of the Constitution of India. Neeraj shot for Gurinder Chadha's 'Viceroy's House' in early 2016. This is an International film with an international ensemble cast. He later shot for Jar Pictures' 'Once Again' opposite Shifaali Shah and completed shooting for Dipesh Jain's 'In the Shadows' with Manoj Bajpai. He also features in Nirang Desai's 'Tabeer' in the lead role opposite Prosenjit Chatterjee. Neeraj is currently shooting for "The Hungry", an International feature film with Naseeruddin Shah.
