Morgan Knibbe is a Dutch director, writer and cinematographer known for his debut feature doc Those Who Feel the Fire Burning (2014) and his short films Shipwreck (2014), The Atomic Soldiers (2019) and VICE's viral hit What Does a Nuclear Bomb Explosion Feel Like? (2018).
The Atomic Soldiers was published by The New York Times, won the Dutch Academy Award and the Dutch Director's Guild Grand Prize; Shipwreck was nominated for a European Film Award, received two Oscar-qualifying awards and won the Silver Leopard at the Locarno Film Festival; Those Who Feel the Fire Burning was the Dutch submission for the Oscars in 2015, was nominated for first prize at IDFA 2015 and won two Dutch Academy Awards; one for Best Documentary and one for Best Sound Design.
