Mick Kaczorowski became a Senior Executive Producer at Animal Planet in August, 2005. As Senior Executive Producer Kaczorowski over sees a variety of programs and series and programs including Animal Planet's multi award winning and Emmy prime time series Meerkat Manor which has become a pop and cultural phenomenon in the US and around the world.

Kaczorowski was the Executive Producer of the Feature film version of the film, which was originally shot simultaneously while making the series in the Kalahari, South Africa. Meerkat Manor: The Story begins released by the Weinstein Co.

, premiered at the Tribeca film festival in 2008 and received its US broadcast premiere on Animal Planet in May of 2008. In addition to directing Stochard Channing's narration for season 4 of Meerkat Manor, Kaczorowski has worked with Sean Astin on three previous season's of Meerkat Manor.

He provided editorial guidance to 40 hours of additional programming including Body Detective, Planet Storm, Terror on the Tracks, Beyond Human Limits and the series Storm Warning and Into the Death Zone.

In Kaczorowski's 23-year career in television and film, he has produced, edited and written films for the Discovery Channel, National Geographic Explorer, PBS and the U.S. Department of Energy. One of his previous projects with Discovery Channel Pictures was the 40-minute IMAX film, Wildfire: Feel The Heat.

Kaczorowski also wrote, produced and directed a motion-simulator ride for Discovery's Themed Entertainment division, that translated the aerial fire-fighting adventure into a state-of-the-art theatrical experience.

Kaczorowski and the team of filmmakers trained to become certified firefighters to actually film on the front lines of forest fires in the US and Australia.Kaczorowski joined the Discovery Channel in 1994 as senior producer of Discovery Productions, responsible for the editorial content and daily production and post production of Discovery's quarterly specials and natural-history television productions.

Projects have included: Discovery Channel's first Emmy Award-winning special Carrier: Fortress at Sea, Choppers on Patrol, Nile: River of Gods, Ultimate Athlete, Flight Over the Equator, Forbidden City: The Great Within, Galapagos: The World That Darwin Never Saw, and Discovery Pictures' first theatrical release, The Leopard Son, narrated by Sir John Gielgud.

In 1985, Kaczorowski helped launch National Geographic Explorer. For the next eight years, he ran his own media production company, CRASHZOOM, for which he produced and edited films for the Discovery Channel, National Geographic Explorer and PBS.

He has been nominated for two Emmy awards for Best Achievement in Editing. Kaczorowski began his career working with film director Robert Altman in New York City on the films, Streamers, OC and Stiggs, & Secret Honor.
