He began acting as a college student at Rutgers University and moved to New York City to study The Method with Bobby Lewis ("Advice To The Players") and Tony Greco of The Actor's Studio (also in Los Angeles), Meisner Technique with Richard Poole, classics and monologues with Donald Buka and William Woodman and commercials with Dovetail.
Mike began his on-camera career at FOX News Channel, serving as a features and sports anchor in the summer of 1998.
