Matt is an actor from Toronto. He trained at Juilliard for a year before enrolling at Harvard, where he studied neurobiology. Shortly after graduating, Matt was cast in the J. J. Abrams produced hit The Play that Goes Wrong in NYC.

His performance earned him a 2019 Lucille Lortel nomination for Best Featured Actor, the only major theater nomination for an actor in the American casts to date. While in the play, he continued his research in neurobiology at Columbia University with Nobel Prize winner Martin Chalfie.
