A child prodigy on guitar, he spent many years in rock bands in Northern and Southern California, eventually gravitating towards scoring for film, eventually resulting in his writing and directing films.

He resides primarily in Northern California, and also works in radio in Sacramento, and is an accomplished photographer. His screenplay, Dance of the Blessed Spirits, has won 39 writing awards: (8 Best Screenplay, 2 Second Place).
