The only child of Wallace and Loree Barragar, Mark Barragar attended Capital Hill High School in Oklahoma City, where he learned to love acting. His first taste of television was on a local late-night Horror Show, "Sleepwalkers Matinee", as the Frankenstein monster at the age of 16.
His first film break came when he worked in a Big & Tall clothing store and his customer was Paul Sorvino, who gave Mark a job on the film he was shooting, Surviving (1985), where Mark played the undertaker.
From 1991 to 1998 Mark was the kid show host "Ranger Roger" for the Oklahoma City FOX affiliate with over 300 weekly half hour episodes. Mark also played the role of "Giant" in the independent film "Black Marshal: Hunt for Dozier", filmed in August 2000.
