Born on 19 June 1986 in Lyon, France, Marie Dorin-Habert is a professional biathlete. Her first year in biathlon was 2000 and she made her World Cup debut on 29 November 2007. Dorin-Habert is famous for her solid shooting in any weather conditions.

Statistics show that her percentage during the 2011-2012 are 91% from the prone position and 83% from the standing position, a total of 87% success. Her first World Championships as a member of the French national team were in 2009 in Pyeongchang from which she took a bronze medal in the relay.

In the other disciplines placed 33rd in the Individual, 42nd in the sprint and 18th in the pursuit. The 2009-2010 season concluded for her at number 17 in the overall. At the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, Marie Dorin-Habert represented her country with great honor.

She won 2 medals - a bronze from the 7.5 km sprint and a silver with the relay alongside teammates Marie-Laure Brunet, Sylvie Becaert and Sandrine Bailly. The Vancouver Olympics were her first and the fantastic French biathlete achieved a great success with the two medals.

The 2011 World Championships in Khanty-Mansyisk brought her another 2 medals - a silver in the relay and a bronze in the mixed relay. After the season was over, a happy occasion, Marie Dorin married her longtime companion and teammate Lois Habert.

During the 2012 World Championships in Ruhpolding, Dorin-Habert won a silver medal with the relay. In the Individual she finished 4th, 9th in the sprint and the pursuit and 6th in the mass start. One year later at the 2013 World Championships in Nove Mesto, unfortunately went without any medals.

Dorin-Habert positioned 9th in the Individual, 18th in the sprint, 16th in the pursuit, 9th in the mass start and 6th in the relay. As soon as the season ended, Marie took a break from biathlon. She was expecting her first child with her husband, who in the mean time retired officially from the sport.

In September 2014 the happy couple welcomed their daughter, named Adele. Dorin-Habert returned to the World Cup in January 2015. At the following World Championships that very same year held in Kontiolahti, Marie won her first victory.

On 7 March, she won the gold medal for the 7.5 km sprint and on the next day, doubled her success and joy with a second gold medal in the 10 km pursuit. In the mass start placed 8th but won 2 more medals, silver from the relay and mixed relay events.

The 2015-2016 turned out to be the most sensational in Dorin-Habert's entire career. On 18 December 2015 she won the sprint in Pokljuka and on 28 December 2015, alongside her teammate and compatriot Martin Fourcade won the races at the Schalke Arena in Gelsenkirchen.

But the highlights of the season were still yet to come. At the 2016 World Championships, Marie Dorin-Habert proved herself as the most talented French biathlete after the retired Sandrine Bailly. Marie won a total of 6 medals from all biathlon events - 3 gold in the Individual, the mass start and mixed relay, 2 silver in the sprint and relay and one bronze in the pursuit.

This has been the most remarkable World Championships in which she has participated so far. The season concluded for her at number 2 behind the winner Gabriela Koukalová. Only 46 points from the Big Crystal Globe.
