She appears as Star in the movie 'Hustlers.' Originally from Grosse Pointe, MI, Marcy Richardson earned her BM and MM in opera performance from the Indiana University Jacobs school of music, and has appeared as a soprano soloist in many of New York's most renowned concert halls, including Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully and David Geffen Halls at Lincoln Center.
She picked up pole dancing almost 10 years ago, became the Pole Sport Organization national level 4 champion in 2014, and has since become a staple of NYC nightlife, marrying the art of opera singing with aerial hoop, acrobatic pole, and burlesque.
She joined the acclaimed baroque burlesque troupe, Company XIV, in 2015, and has starred in 4 productions of Nutcracker Rouge with the Company, in addition to Cinderella, Snow White, Paris!, Boylesque Bullfight, and Queen of Hearts.
Additionally, she performs regularly in the Bartschland Follies at the Mckittrick Hotel in New York, produced by Susanne Bartsch, and in the Operatic Tease at Duane Park. She recently took home the 2018 Dora Mavor Moore Award for Best Female Performance in an opera for her portrayal of Amour in Gluck's Orphée.
