While he was trying to find a way to express his art, Luigi worked different jobs; from being a mailman, to load the trolleys for the airplanes in Malpensa. One day in 20018, he received a scholarship from Bernardo Bertolucci to study cinema in the United States.
He took the first available flight and landed at the JFK airport with three luggage, one backpack and without knowing where he could have slept that same night.
