Some Lee Stickler images

Lee Stickler grew up 20 miles south of Boston, the youngest of four in a middle-class Jewish family. His father was a gifted commercial photographer and his mother a bookkeeper. He started acting at age 6, playing Michael in a summer camp production of Peter Pan.

He soon began studying piano and singing and continued through high school. He earned a Theatre degree at UMASS-Amherst and holds an MFA from West Virginia University. As an undergrad, Lee was invited to join Shakespeare & Company's summer training center led by Kristin Linklater and played his first professional lead, Berowne in Love's Labour's Lost.

After grad school he studied further at the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC. Back in Boston he learned on-camera technique with coach Peter Kelley and began booking film, TV and commercial work.

With Kelley and fellow students he co-founded The Harrison Project, a film/theatre production cooperative, while taking on edgier stage roles in Search and Destroy, Psycho Beach Party, Red Scare on Sunset and Raft of the Medusa.

After getting his SAG card he moved to L.A. and trained at AIDA with Roslyn Gentle and Paul Parker; he most recently joined the Conservatory at The Second City. Between gigs he has worked as a stage manager, producer, set dresser, location scout and post production supervisor.

He is a proud member of the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles since 2006 and managed their youth outreach programming for four seasons. Lee lives with his longtime partner, award-winning filmmaker Jay J.

Levy. Together they produced Frieda's Turn (2015) (Best Dramatic Short, 2016 Valley Film Festival), written and directed by Levy, featuring Leslie Simms and Carolyn Hennesy.
