Before Fame

He graduated from University College Dublin in 1945 and immediately was hired by the famed Michael Scott, followed by a stint with Maxwell Fry in London during the latter part of 1946. He was accepted by Harvard, Yale, and the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1947.

His work included the Oakland Museum of California, The Ford Foundation in New York, and many other museums, theaters, corporate offices, and banks.

Family Life

His family was residing in Dublin when he was born, but they raised him in Mitchelstown, County Cork. He and his wife had five children.
