John Gunnery is a London-based, native Irish actor. He has got a wide range of experience in theatre, film, and TV. His last theatre role was Coleman Connor in the Martin McDonagh play "The Lonesome West".

He has recently played two characters on British TV: Charles Glover in Sky One's "Dream Team 80s" and Anthony in "Elizabeth Davies: A Life in Recipes" for the BBC. He has got a film coming out shortly called "The Run", directed by Tania Meneguzzi in which he plays John, an ex-popstar, teacher and mentor to lead actress Alex Weaver's character Amanda and he has just finished shooting "The Killing of a Teenager Joyrider" in Stockholm, directed by Matthew Moore and produced by Freddy Olsson, in which he played Johnno, an IRA veteran of The Troubles in Northern Ireland.
