His most rewarding moment in the Entertainment Business was working with disadvantage youth at Holy Family Institute where he wrote and directed scenes in which they appeared On Camera.

Joe is married to Susan Ransom-Coyle. In 2005, they moved from Los Angeles to Pittsburgh, where they raise their two children, Ava and Joey.
