Jean-Guillaume Béatrix is a professional biathlete who is a member of the French National biathlon team. He was born on 24 March 1988 in Saint Priest, France. His career officially began as a cross-country skier, however Jean-Guillaume switched to biathlon in 2003.

He made his World Cup debut in the sport in 2005. Béatrix competed at the Junior World Championships in 2007 where he won two bronze medals in the 20 km Individual event and with the relay. The following year, 2008 again at the Junior World Championships Jean-Guillaume won the gold medal in the Individual race.

He wasn't a member of the French Olympic team for the Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010. But in 2012 at the World Championships won a silver medal in the relay in Ruhpolding, Germany. Next year, 2013 he won another silver medal again with the relay during the World Champioinships in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic.

Béatrix took part in the 2014 Sochi Olympics where he won the bronze in the 12.5 km pursuit, sharing the podium with the winner, his teammate and friend Martin Fourcade. In the other Olympic biathlon disciplines in Sochi, Jean-Guillaume placed 14th in the sprint, 6th in the Individual, 17th in the mass start, 8th in the relay and 5th in the mixed relay.

at the World Championships in 2015 in Kontiolahti he won a silver medal with the relay and a bronze in the mixed relay. Finally after all his efforts, Béatrix won his first World Cup race, the 15 km mass start in Pokljuka, Slovenia.

In a most intense final sprint with Emil Hegle Svendsen from Norway, Béatrix achieved his first individual victory.
