Growing up with a mother who teaches English and a film historian father who used to bring his work home with him, she was able to sink her teeth into the understanding of film at an early age.
Wanting to be a filmmaker she attended screenwriting workshops and studied drama for five years; this training later helped her to work with actors. She won several film awards after completing her first short film, 'It's a long way', which premiered in competition at the New York City International Film Festival and she received a nomination for Best Direction.
More recently she directed a music video for a song called 'Runaway'. She was awarded the Best Independent Filmmaker award for it at the Top Shorts Film Festival.
