Inna spent her childhood and youth in Novosibirsk. The family lived in the House of Writers. In 1943-1948 she studied at VGIK in the workshop of Sergey Gerasimov and Tamara Makarova. During her studies, she played the role of Carmen in the play of the same name staged by Tatyana Lioznova.
