From 1942 until 1945, she was imprisoned at the Terezin concentration camp. She was among the one percent of the camp's inhabitants who survived the ordeal.
Trivia
After graduating from Queens College, City University of New York, she had a four decade-long career as a Chemist.
Family Life
In 1945, she and several of her family members were liberated from Nazi camps by the Red Army. She immigrated to the United States in 1946 and became an American citizen several years later.
