Gabriel Motta is a screenwriter, director from Porto Alegre, Brazil. He graduated in Audiovisual Production at PUC-RS in 2011 and holds a Master's degree in Crossmedia Production by the Baltic Film and Media School of Estonia.
He worked as an editor and edited several short-films, among them "Abismo" (2013), "Só Isso" (2014) "Kaali" (2015) and "Nós Montanha" (2018). His first work as a director was the short documentary film "Home" (2013), selected to PÖFF Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival 2013.
His second short-film as a screenwriter and director, "Kaali" (2015), a co-production between Brazil and Estonia, premiered at Gramado Film Festival, in 2015. "Nós Montanha" (2018), also a Gramado Film Festival premiere, is his latest film.
Gabriel will soon be directing the transmedia TV series "Via Pública - Cycling Permitted", founded by the Rio Grande do Sul state fund (Brazil) and now in production by the production company Sofá Verde Filmes, also from Porto Alegre.
