Dean Carey is an Australian-born actor, author, teacher, speaker, director and coach. He is the CEO, Founder and Creative Director of Actors Centre Australia, ACA Sydney P/L, established in 1987. He began his professional career in Melbourne in 1977 and for over 35 years has taught acting and performance skills.

He has also conducted workshops in the USA including Yale University; various colleges and universities in Los Angeles and across California including Cal Arts, USC, UCSD and the LA High School of Performing Arts and, the Ensemble Theatre Company in Florida.
Dean was International Guest Professor at the University of California in Davis (2003).Dean is a published author of four books: The Actor's Audition Manual (1985); The Actor's Audition Manual, Vol. I (1998); Masterclass - Audition Manual Vol.
