In 2016, he became the first non-Burmese fighter in history to win the coveted Golden belt by defeating Lethwei star Tun Tun Min at the Aung Lan Championship in Yangon. Leduc's journey to success was immortalized in the French documentary Fosse Aux Tigres (2018) which followed his footsteps in Myanmar to become the first non-Burmese Lethwei World Champion.
Having mastered the art of fighting without gloves and headbutts, Dave Leduc is often referred as the King of Lethwei and as the most dangerous man earth.
