Dan Olsson was born on 1947 in Gothenburg, Sweden, Sweden. Dan Sten Olsson is CEO and majority owner of Stena Sphere, a privately held Swedish conglomerate with interests in cruising, shipping, offshore drilling, property and metal recycling. Stena was founded in 1939 as a trading company by Dan's father, Sten. Dan took over in 1983 and now owns 51% of the company; his siblings Stefan Sten Olsson and Madeleine Olsson Eriksson own 24.5% and 18.5%, respectively. The third generation in the family is finally getting involved: Madeleine's son Gustav Eriksson owns 6% of the company, and is a member of the board of Stena Metall AB, a subsidiary of Stena Sphere.
