However, it was the emerging studio Dreamworks SKG that changed Craig's direction.Craig wrote, animated, directed and produced The Fish the computer animated 35mm film screened at the Dreamworks Employee Film Festival and SlamDunk Film Festival.

Craig was born in Fresno, California. His parents Barbara Jean (Lee) and Allison Lew founded the Loy Loy Restaurants chain in the mid 1960s. Craig's grandfather was a Tong Highbinder during the prohibition era.
