🌙 Zodiac

Codie Taylor’s zodiac sign is Aries. According to astrologers, the presence of Aries always marks the beginning of something energetic and turbulent. They are continuously looking for dynamic, speed and competition, always being the first in everything - from work to social gatherings. Thanks to its ruling planet Mars and the fact it belongs to the element of Fire (just like Leo and Sagittarius), Aries is one of the most active zodiac signs. It is in their nature to take action, sometimes before they think about it well.

Position: Hooker Born: 31/3/1991 Physical: 1.83m, 108kg (6', 234lb) Test Debut: v Argentina at Christchurch, 17 July 2015 AN IMPRESSIVE hooker with surprising speed and a knack for scoring tries, hooker Codie Taylor started all three British & Irish Lions Tests in 2017, scoring a crucial try in the first Test.

Originally from Levin, Taylor made his provincial debut in 2012 and Investec Super Rugby debut in 2013 but injuries limited his opportunities. However, the powerful scrummager, who is equally adept in rucks and in the loose, cemented a place over the following seasons, eventually earning All Blacks selection and was part of the Rugby World Cup 2015-winning squad.

He has faced France and Wales on one occasion each. Taylor was part of the New Zealand Under 20 team which won the 2011 IRB Junior World Championship. He has likely the longest historical familial gaps between two All Blacks: his great-great- grandfather was 1893 All Black Walter Pringle.

Taylor grew up in Australia, where he was started playing league as a youngster before being encouraged into rugby by his father.
