Charles Johnston is an Emmy Award winning writer. He has written on many successful children's TV shows including: "Paw Patrol" (Nickelodeon), "Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum" (PBS), and "Odd Squad" (PBS - Daytime Emmy Winner, 2016).
Charles co-created and served as co-showrunner on 4 seasons of "Detentionaire" for Corus Entertainment. It was first broadcast on Teletoon and later around the world. Charles graduated from Southern Alberta's SAIT film program with honours and attended Norman Jewison's Canadian Film Centre, where he completed the Prime Time TV Writing Program.
In addition to Charles' animated writing he has also written feature films and served as head writer for "Canadian Idol" for CTV.
