She graduated from the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television in 1991. She then began working for Davis Entertainment and eventually landed a job as a production executive for Warner Bros. where she helped develop films such as The Devil's Advocate. She then joined ABC in 2004 and was hired as president in February of 2016.
