Carlos Miguel Neto in an actor, dancer, and choreographer born in Lisbon, Portugal, to Angelica Bentes a psychologist from Lisbon and Antonio Neto, an artist from Angola and of Portuguese descent. In 1993, after his parents' separation, his mother decided to move back to the suburbs of the capital, Lisbon, with his brother and step father.
There, Carlos continued his education, trained martial arts and discovered his love for acting at a semi-professional theater company. In 1998 at the age of 12, after an intensive audition process, Carlos booked his first role on national television as a series regular Ruben in the Portuguese hit series Médico de Família (1998) on SIC channel 3.
He signed with his first agent at the age of 13 and went on to have several appearances in the Portuguese film industry such as A Falha (2002) where he played the flash backs of Antonio Picarro portrayed by renowned Portuguese actor Rogério Samora, Jogo da Glória (2002), _A Raiz Do Coracao' and the French Production of 'Inspector Maigrai'.
During his teenage years, Carlos also won several national competitions and awards as a martial artist in the Portuguese Federation of Karate Shotokan. In 2004 he decided he wanted to learn to speak English fluently so he moved to Wales, United Kingdom where he attained a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Journalism and also trained as a dancer.
Upon finishing his degree and already having certain success as a dancer and choreographer in the U.K., he was invited to choreograph Simon Cowell's young singing star George Sampson and joined the faculty at Pineapple Dance Studios (2010) in London.
His dance achievements in Europe also included motion capture in the Nintendo video game 'Grease', Sony 'Dance Star Party', Warner Brothers and more. Carlos's move to London was immediately followed by his first appearance in the West End Theaters as part of the cast of the International Dance Show 'Blaze' directed by Anthony Van Laast, which also went on tour worldwide.
Not long after that, Carlos was discovered by West End director Kate Prince who invited him to portray the role of 'Sudsy' in the new show "Some Like It Hip Hop" which marked his second appearance on a West End stage and his return into acting.
Carlos started auditioning once again and in 2012 he booked a role in a New York-based theater company 'Ticket to Eternity' and was given an artist Visa to work in the U.S.A. He decided to make a move to New York where he also studied at Stella Adler Studio of Acting and T.
Schreiber. From 2013-15 he was cast in the independent production 'Moonburn', the Bloomingdales Commercial and several off-Broadway productions. In 2014 Carlos was awarded the Outstanding Choreography/ Movement Award by the New York Innovative Theatre Awards for his off-Broadway work.
He spends most of his time in New York City as an actor and choreographer, working between U.S.A. and Europe.
