Bubba Cathy was born on 1953 in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Bubba Cathy and his brother, Dan, run fast-food juggernaut Chick-fil-A, the fried chicken chain founded by their father, Truett (d. 2014), in 1967.
Like his brother and sister, he grew up in the business. He rose from construction apprentice to senior vice president in 1995.
Today Bubba serves as Chick-fil-A's executive vice president, plus president of the company's Georgia-based Dwarf House and Truett's Grill concepts.
His brother, Dan, serves as chairman and CEO of the religious company that is known for closing every Sunday.
A longtime sailor and avid motorcyclist, Cathy often takes groups on charity yacht and bike voyages.

After college, Cathy oversaw the building of Chick-fil-A restaurants in Albany, Myrtle Beach, and Southlake Mall. From 1976-80, he managed the Southlake Mall branch.

Cathy has been married to Cindy Cathy since 1979, and they have six children, Mark, James, Rachel, Seth, Luke, and Matthew.
