Bruna Pickler was born in Blumenau, Saint Catarina State, Brazil to a family of lawyers and educators, being her mother, Denise Suely Boege an English teacher and her father, Nelson Pickler an attorney at law.
She grew up in Blumenau, Brazil, and moved abroad at the age of 23, to China. Her ancestry is German. Pickler has developed her artistic career while studying Communications at University level in Brazil (2013) and later (2016) in Macao islands as well, where she completed a Master of Arts degree by University of Macau.
Bruna's artistic career included modeling from a very young age, but it was not until her young adult life that she would develop it further. The first acting role in adult life opportunity rose up at the beginning of her master's studies at University of Macau.
There she signed up for a local casting for an original theatre play in the islands of Macau, in 2016. She was then, given one of the leading roles, where she played "Lady Conscience" in the play named The Three Ladies of Macao (2016).
This exhilarating role took a total of six months of rehearsals for building the character up and the play was exhibited only over one weekend in its original form.By means of the theatrical aptitude developed and sealed by playing "Conscience" in 2016, Bruna Pickler was granted, in 2018, a Master of Arts Degree in Communication and New Media.
In her media thesis, she analyzed beats of contemporary medium video game, and her theatrical aptitude is considered to have helped her conclude this contemporary study. Besides her training into visual analysis of archetypes in the video game medium, she is considered by her acting colleagues as Meisner Technique.
In regards to academia, her theoretical framework influences are based on works of scholar Tony Schirato (in memoriam), who supervised her master's thesis directly.Bruna Pickler is also a professional archer, and the combination of techniques helped her development on both sides of the career, on screen and when competing for archery or even horse riding.
She believes that engaging seriously in a sport helps keep the mental strength needed to undergo an acting role, while the sport provides the physical balance for any acting role as well.
