Recently he line produced The Kid starring Dane DeHaan and Ethan Hawke, the immigration story Icebox for Gracie Films and veterans road movie Will Gardner for Max Martini. Prior to that, he line produced the family drama Kepler's Dream, the Dutch road picture Jackie starring Holly Hunter, the character comedy Goats and Toby Keith's Beer for My Horses.

He was the UPM for the stunt unit of Too Old To Die Young, the New Mexico unit of The Glass Castle, Ric Roman Waugh's Shot Caller, the Disney Channel hit Lemonade Mouth and 20th Century Fox's Kung Pow.

He produced Alan Jacobs' hard-hitting drama American Gun, featuring James Coburn's final performance, and Tony Cookson's romantic comedy Love Happens.After graduating from UCLA with a B.A. in theater arts, Brent founded the ensemble Rough Theater where he wrote, produced, directed and performed in new works in Los Angeles theaters and public spaces.

He entered the film industry as a story analyst and producers' assistant and spent three years as an associate producer on a slate of films for Ashok Amritraj prior to line producing the action-thriller Temptation for Dino De Laurentiis Entertainment.

Films have taken him all over the U.S. and abroad to Romania, Canada and Mexico.In 2007 he formed Indieproduction, LLC to foster new projects including the feature documentaries Made in New Mexico and Flamenco School, which he produced and co-directed.

Brent is a member of the Directors Guild of America. He is developing a documentary from the best-selling book American Ghost for 2019.
