She is a recipient of the COIL Fellowship for International Online learning under the auspices of SUNY and the NEH.Bettina is also the recipient of a Fulbright Senior Specialist award for expansion of the project entitled 'Cinematic Storytelling Across Cultures,' which originated during the COIL Fellowship.

Bettina is working on her documentary film - Finding Daylight.FINDING DAYLIGHT is a universal story about how to take back the future one day at a time. Told through the lens of 9/11 you'll come to know people who've walked in grief yet found that reclaiming happiness is not only possible but deserved.

FINDING DAYLIGHT is planned for a 2021release. The story will be told through mixed media in the form of paintings and drawings, music and audio and filmed interviews. We're now at the point of bringing it altogether which is extraordinarily exciting.

The ongoing research which the film is based on has been accepted into the permanent collection of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum of lower Manhattan.As HBO Story editor and development executive she contributed to the films; Mrs.
