Ben started dance training part time at the age of 3, and made his stage debut with a local dance school at the age of 5. His professional stage debut came at the age of 6 when he appeared alongside the popular comedians Cannon and Ball as a 'mini' Bobby Ball in "A Night Of A Thousand Laughs" at the Pavilion Theatre in Bournemouth.
Ben went on to appear as a Munchkin in "The Wizard of Oz", as Tiny Tim in a musical version of "Scrooge", as William Page in an open-air production of "The Merry Wives Of Windsor" and as Michael Darling in a Michael Rose musical production of "Peter Pan", before being chosen at the age of 8 from nationwide open auditions to play Michael Banks in the original cast of "Mary Poppins" in the West End.
Ben has also appeared on TV a number of times, including in featured roles in the long-running BBC hospital drama "Casualty", the CBBC drama "Living It" and the popular CITV programme "My Parents Are Aliens".
He also played a lead role in a rehearsed reading of a sitcom pilot at a TV showcase in London, and also had a featured role in a 2006 BBC drama ident. Ben appears in a leading role in a series of DVD's produced by the Oxford University Press, which are now in use in Primary Schools across Spain helping Spanish children learn to speak English.
Ben has also appeared in 9 short films, in 5 of which he can be seen in the leading role.
