Born in Evanston, Illinois, and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Ben Ring was inspired to act at the age of 11 when he saw Daniel Day-Lewis in My Left Foot. He then gained inspiration from the likes of Jack Nicholson and Nicolas Cage and knew from then on that film would be his canvass to explore the burning creative tick inside his soul.

Ben started acting at Piven Theatre Workshop in Evanston, a suburb of Illinois, at the age of 16. A natural dreamer, Ben felt right at home joining the summer conservatory program as well as being an integral part of Piven's famed Young People's Company.

He went on to be a key part of the ensemble cast in the first ever theatre production of Dead Man Walking written by Tim Robbins and directed by Mikalina Rabinski. Ben later landed a co-leading role in the short film Square Knot (2016) directed by Sam Spahn.
