Actor Anthony Stratton was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Maryann (DeAnda), and Kevin Stratton, and is the youngest of four children. He was educated at Clear Creek Amana High School in Tiffin, Iowa.
Following high school, Anthony pursued further education at Kirkwood Community College (KCC) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he achieved his Associate's Degree in Theatre in 2010.During his undergraduate studies in Iowa, where he obtained an Associate's Degree in Theatre, Anthony received his first acting nomination from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival for his stage portrayal of Alexis Voinov in The Just Assassins, and was named the school's Arts & Humanities Department's Outstanding Student.
While completing his Bachelor's degree in Theatre at St. Ambrose University, Anthony received his second and third acting nominations for his stage portrayals as Prep in Columbinus, and Tony in the world-premiere of The Plagiarists.
It was competing with this third, and final, acting nomination that Anthony gained the title of being the 2013 Regional Irene Ryan Winner for Best Actor of Region 5 (1st of 325) by outperforming 325 current or newly graduated theatre students from a seven-state region, and obtaining an invitation to perform nationally (top 16 of 2000) at The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington, D.
C.Working in Chicago the past five years, Anthony has won two of three Best Lead Actor film award nominations for his performance as Noah in Nesting Grounds (2014), and is most recently the winner of a Best Supporting Actor award for his work in Where She Lay (2015).
Aside from independent films, he was auditioned for supporting role, Uriah, in Divergent (2014), as well as co-starring role, Luis, in Showtime's upcoming series, The Chi (2018).Most recently, Anthony has completed filming as principal role, Ellis, in the upcoming feature thriller, Spiral (2018), as well as James Thome in Emmy®-nominated filmmakers, Kelly and Tammy Rundle's, Sons & Daughters of Thunder (2019) - both films are slated for completion in 2017.
